Samartha trust started with the skill development and livelihood program when the adults with intellectual disabilities were out from special schools and the parents did not know how to help them in getting open wage employment or engage them with meaningful livelihood opportunities.
Samartha trust runs the prevocational, vocational and work readiness skill training for persons with intellectual disabilities for the age group of 16 – 30. It offers skills for protective market and open market based on their capacities and potentials. It provides Self Advocacy training and also provides an opportunity for talents exhibition
