Our vision is to ‘To create an inclusive, an open and equal society for disabled and children who are in need of care and protection’. Many dream of helping children in vulnerable situations, few are motivated enough to pursue this dream. One such woman who followed her desire to help children is Ms. Gopamma (founder of Samartha Trust). Born and raised in Chamarajnagar Ms.Gopamma often saw Disability children face difficulty in getting education. She decides to work with people with disabilities especially children with disabilities. This left a significant impact on Ms.Gopamma who was then pursuing her degree in Arts completing her education, Ms. Gopamma starts to work for these underprivileged children then setting with a 9-5 job. She started her journey by joining a local NGO in Bangalore. This Ngo operated Education, Health, Rehabilitation, and livelihood program for Disables. Ms.Gopamma worked here for more than 15 years. Also working here gave Ms.Gopamma a good insight into the lives of children with disabilities, she observed that reuniting children with their families was not always the remedy she noticed that in some cases, there were parents who were indifferent to their children, and the home environment was not suitable enough. Founded in April 2019 in Yeshwanthpur Bangalore, Samartha Trust aims at helping all those children with Disabilities.
